Indigenous Perspectives in AI Course

The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) has released their Indigenous Perspectives in AI course, developed by Ridge Road Training & Consulting.

Indigenous Perspectives in AI features video teachings by Indigenous knowledge-keepers from Inuit, Métis, Nak’azdli Whut’en, Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe traditions. Rich in information and practical case studies, it emphasizes Indigenous worldviews that teach the importance of a deep connection to the environment, holistic thinking, and the interdependence of all living things. This course presents an opportunity for all learners in AI to consider Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing as they undertake their work in AI, and there are separate versions for high school, undergraduate and graduate students.
