An alliance to better represent our world
This partnership will work to change the academic landscape within the next five to 10 years by increasing the number of Indigenous and Black engineering professors teaching and researching in universities across Canada.

This academic partnership, that began with the engineering and math Faculties at the University of Waterloo, and the engineering Faculties at McMaster University, the University of Ottawa, the University of Toronto, Queen’s University and Western University, has expanded to include 12 institutions. Recently the Schulich School of Engineering University of Calgary, University of Alberta, Lassonde School of Engineering at York University, Ryerson University, the University of Windsor and McGill University joined the partnership.

Working together to build a mentor network and offer IBET Momentum Fellowships for funding support, each partner universities will tailor their structure and features to support student experience at their institutions.
