Carson was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and is pursuing his PhD studies with the Zhao Lab in the Department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University. He started in a research-based Master of Applied Science program and has since transferred his work to the doctoral stream.
He completed a bachelor’s degree in medical and biological physics at McMaster University within the Department of Physics and Astronomy, during which he played varsity football with the McMaster Marauders.
He spent the last three terms of his undergraduate degree conducting a thesis research project in experimental soft matter physics in the Dalnoki-Veress Lab, where he developed a love for experimental science and innovation.
Carson can be found enjoying science fiction films, and riding his bike around Hamilton and Toronto.
