Laura was raised in Canada, Norway and Denmark, and is currently pursuing her PhD studies at Carleton University, at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where she also completed her master’s and undergraduate degrees. Her master’s thesis was focussed on micro-mobility and emerging transportation technologies. After completing her master’s, she spent a year working as a transportation planner before returning to Carleton.
Besides her academic pursuits, Laura is very passionate about music and reading. As a teenager, she was classically trained on the flute, playing with ensembles, orchestras and concert bands at various concert stages around Oslo, Norway. To keep the fire burning, you’ll find her playing pieces with friends and attending concerts wherever she is.
