Sedem Kumahor

IBET Momentum Fellow at University of Manitoba

Sedem Kumahor is a Ph.D. candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Manitoba. He was born in Ghana and came to Canada in 2019 after graduating with a B.Sc. degree in Petrochemical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

In 2021, he received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, also at the University of Manitoba. His research specialization is in experimental and computation fluid dynamics, focusing on turbulent flows around bluff bodies and flow separation phenomena.

To maintain a balanced life, Sedem enjoys creating music, travelling the world and has a deep passion for aerodynamics in the automotive industry, especially in Formula 1. He has also been actively involved in volunteering, supporting new international students, and contributing to multiple community events.
