Stephen Obadinma

IBET Momentum Fellow at Queen's University

Stephen Obadinma (he/him) is a PhD student in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen’s University, where he is also a member of Ingenuity Labs. He obtained both his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, and his master’s degree at Queen’s. As an avid lover of technology, Stephen’s research has primarily been in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing, and is excited about the rapid rise of AI and its future prospects. Previously focusing on the calibration of machine learning classifiers during his master’s studies, Stephen’s current research goal for his PhD is to help solve some of the fundamental problems many current models face with possessing strong common sense knowledge and reasoning, and robustness across many different real-world conditions.
